Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you provide during drop-ins?
My drop-in visits include daily scooping, maintaining the feeding station, petting and playtime, brushing, occasional feline enrichment activities, any other personal care instructions you have. I also bring in mail/packages and water plants if needed. Each visit concludes with an update and photos/video sent via app push notification.
Do I need to make copies of my keys?
No need to make copies of your keys. I have a lock box policy for key storage and access. You'll need to securely install a lock box (available on Amazon) in a discreet but accessible location near your main entrance. This ensures safety and convenience, and also allows for emergency access if needed.
Do you accept other pets?
I accept other small pets such as fish, guinea pigs, rabbits, gerbils, turtles, lizards, and have experience with exotic birds.
What are your holiday rates?
Services booked on certain holidays (New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve) have an automatic 20% rate increase. Booking early as possible is encouraged.
How far in advance do I need to book?
To ensure availability, it's best to book once your travel dates are confirmed. I can accommodate last-minute requests if my schedule allows, but a three-day notice is appreciated. If you inform me of potential dates in advance, I can keep you in mind and try to plan personal off days accordingly.
Can I schedule drop-ins for every other day?
It's important to check on cats every day for their safety and well-being. Daily check-ins ensure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and most importantly, prevents potential accidents or emergencies. Because Royalty Cat Care offers only top-shelf services, every other day visits are not an option. Hopefully we can figure out a schedule that meets both your needs and the needs of your cats.
What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel, reschedule, or shift booking dates up to two days before the first service date without any fee. For last-minute cancellations (day of or day before the first service date), there's no fee for the first instance within a six-month period. Subsequent last-minute cancellations within the same six-month period will incur a 20% fee of the canceled service.
Do you administer medication?
I can provide medication administration for social, non-aggressive pets that are accepting of medication. If your pet requires medication, please let me know when requesting services so we can discuss the medical needs further.
